Get Your Story in Montreal’s Interactive History Timeline

As you might already know Montreal will be celebrating it’s 375th Anniversary.  In addition to the many celebrations that will go on city wide, Alive 375 has posted an interactive calendar encouraging citizens to contribute a historical event they may have witnessed or been part of. This timeline is a really fun way to show our “joie de vivre” and bookmark culture and history in this most amazing city we live in.

If you or a family member happen to remember something noteworthy that you would like to add to this calendar it’s easy. Visit http://www.375mtl.com/en/history/ and fill in the info. All submissions will be edited so don’t worry about typos.

My grandmother used to work at the old port! She got an offer to buy the Nelson hotel for $1.00 in gratitude of many years of service! She was so scared she refused!!!!! I wish I could have it right now! She was late twenty’s and had no confidence! What a shame, her life would have been so different. She struggle all her life, poor her. Her name was Zélica Lamontagne! She was born in 1900 and passed away in 1975! She was so gentle….R.I.P.
