Spooky Bat Puppet

If you are indoors with the grandkids on this rainy week-end and looking for a way to keep them busy, this bat makes a fun and easy Halloween craft.  In the end grandma has the added bonus of a puppet show!

Supplies:

  • Wooden spoon
  • Black paint
  • Glue
  • Wiggle eyes
  • Black craft foam
  • White fabric paint pen, glittery or not

Assembly:

Paint the spoon with the black paint and let it dry. Glue two eyes on to the widest part of the spoon.

Cut two small black triangles from black foam to make bat ears. Glue the ears to the top of the of the spoon.

Cut a large wing shape from black foam. Glue the handle of the spoon to the middle of the wings.

To finish, draw on a mouth with the fabric paint.
