La Diperie is the hottest trending ice cream parlour this side of the Mississippi!  Well, maybe this side of the St. Lawrence River.   I am a huge fan.

There is a new location on Monkland that I frequent these days.  Monkland is a great place to visit on a warm summer night.  The village has plenty to offer and this Diperie has a gorgeous terrace that allows the ice cream lover to settle in and do some people watching.

Every possible choice of topping on a splendid soft ice cream will entice you as you gaze at the vast selection.  Dark chocolate, milk chocolate, coconut, every nut you can think of and every crushed candy you can think of.  Oreos, caramel and maple. Coloured sprinkles too.  All to be combined in whatever way you like, making it easy to please those of us with fussy taste buds.

I basically got stuck on the melted milk chocolate.  The good kind.  The kind that doesn’t leave a strange taste in your mouth.  This was melt in your mouth milk chocolate.  There are several sizes that suit every appetite.  I like the minis.  They are so tiny and cute, you could order a few creations this way.

The line ups look daunting but they move really fast so that is not an issue.  We found parking fairly easily as well.

Worth a little drive after dinner.
