What does a mother love most about her baby? Everything.

Koalas are such a friendly marsupial and they make the perfect character for this mother and baby tale of unconditional love.  This book is great for toddlers and preschoolers alike.

The mom starts out on page one trying to find which part of her baby that she loves the most.  She checked her babe’s nose, eyes, and laugh. His tears, his kisses and his face.  She, of course, discovers through her journey that she just loves everything about him.

The illustrations, also done by Dodd, are soft and comforting. There is a hint of metallic gold in the drawings which I found unique.  I think this book would make a lovely shower gift for an expectant mother.  I wish I had read it before Alex gave birth to Mason!

Dodd’s newest titles use rhyming text to celebrate parental love and the joy that little ones bring to their lives.  Now that I have discovered this winning author I will be looking out for more from this series of books.
