20 May Parking is NOT free in Montreal on Victoria Day – What’s open and What’s not in Montreal this Monday
On the occasion of “National Patriots Day” or Victoria Day, several City of Montreal facilities will offer their services and activities on a modified schedule while others will close.
Most of the City of Montréal’s offices will be closed on Monday, May 21, 2018: borough offices, Accès-Montréal offices and various points of service.
Collection of waste, recyclables and bulky objects
The various collections (domestic waste, bulky waste, recyclable materials, food residues, green residues and dead leaves) will take place according to the usual schedules in all the boroughs. For information, visit the website: ville.montreal.qc.ca/collectes.
Ecocentres
The ecocentres will be open according to the regular summer schedule, every day from 8 am to 6 pm. For more information, visit ville.montreal.qc.ca/ecocentres.
Sports and cultural facilities
Arenas, swimming pools, sports centers, libraries and cultural venues have a varied schedule depending on the borough. Citizens are encouraged to contact the facility staff directly before traveling.
The Claude-Robillard sports complex will be closed on Monday, May 21st. Information at 514 872-6900.
Space for life/Espace pour la vie
The facilities will be open to the public at the following times, with the exception of the Montréal Biodôme which is closed due to renovations:
The Botanical Garden, 9 am to 6 pm
Montreal Insectarium, 9 am to 6 pm
The Rio Tinto Alcan Planetarium, 9 am to 5 pm

Parking
It should be remembered that automated payment kiosks remain payable during National Patriot Day and that parking signs must also be respected at all times.
